those few are all that i need.
It's not the quantity of friends,

But the quality that counts. =)

I just HAD to post this. Wonder if anyone comes here anymore. =\

One day, a professor asked his students ‘Why do we SHOUT instead of speak when we are ANGRY?’

All the students thought for a while. One answered ‘Because we lost our cool. That’s why we SHOUT.’

Asked the professor again, ‘But the person is just right next to you, why can’t we talk softly but have to SHOUT?’

Everyone gave their opinions but none was accepted by the professor.

Lastly explained by the professor ‘When we are ANGRY, our hearts drift apart. To mask the DISTANCE we felt, we instinctively SHOUT instead of speak so the other party can hear us.’

‘But as we SHOUT, we get ANGRIER. And we felt we drift apart further. So we SHOUT even louder…’

‘It is the opposite when we are in love. Not only we do not shout, we whisper into each other ears. Why?’

‘This is because our hearts are very close, almost never apart. As our love deepen, we reach a state of communication where there is no need for words.’

‘We understand each other well enough just by exchanging look,’ concluded the professor.

‘Therefore, when we are arguing, DO NOT speak words that will make our hearts drift apart. WAIT a few days. When you feel your hearts are no longer far apart, pick up the conversation and continue from there.

Remember When...

A computer was something on t.v.
from a science fiction show of note
A window was something you hated to clean
and ram was the cousin of a goat

Meg was the name of my girlfriend
and gig was a job for the nights
now they all mean different things
and that really mega bytes

An application was for employment
A program was a t.v. show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano

Memory was something that you lost with age
A CD was a bank account
And if you had a 3" floppy
you hoped nobody found out

Compress was something you did to the garbage
Not something you did to a file
And if you unzipped anything in public
you'd be in jail for awhile
Log on was adding wood to the fire
Hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And a backup happened in your commode

Cut you did with a pocket knife
Paste you did with glue
A web site was a spider's home
and a virus was the flu

I guess I'll stick to my pad and paper
And the memory in my head
I hear nobody's been killed in a computer crash
But when it happens they wish they were dead

I'm in Taiwan!! Paying $0.50 to use for 20 mins. Hehe. Arrived here safely in the morning, and slept the whole day away! LOL! Didn't get to see the 4SIR Scouts yet.

It's funny how ppl always say absence makes the heart grow fonder, an its only when it really happens that we experience it. Argh, missing my friends loads. I'm seriously grateful to those who came to send me off. Despite having upcoming exams and all. =)

Oh yea, if anyone needs to contact me, email me at exquisitely.me@live.com . I'll be sure to check it at least once every 2 days or so. =p

Well then, time's running out! Will update u ppl once in a while! Loves!!

Well well, after months on inactivity, I'm back again!! Since buddy put in so much effort to revive my blog, I think I should at the very least blog once? *nods* OKAY! Lets get to writing!

So, a brief update on me. Finally a 2nd year soldier! ORD in 10 months! WHEE!! I seriously can't wait for ORD. Can't wait to be liberated from the clutches of GREEN. Argh. I'm flying to Taiwan on Monday, as an umpire for 4SIR. HAHA! One thing good about NS are the free travels. =)

For quite some time now, I've stopped DOTA-ing. Kinda just lost interest in gaming. My laptop betrayed me anyway, it refuses to let me open WC3. Hanging out with friends is so much more fufilling! I do miss the company of JW, Nan, Ong, Jun though. Without DOTA, I communicate less with them. Ah, but there's still bball!

Another revelation I think most people wouldn't have expected, I've fallen in love all over again! Who who who?! Ah, but it isn't one person, it's ten! Over these few months, I've grown closer to Babeights. Got to know a few of them much better. I'm experiencing a sort of love I never had before. A love between friends that is simply special, just like those friends are. But! Things may get complicated if romance gets blended in as well. I shall have to work towards keeping the two seperated! Hehe.

Argh! I wanna mahjong but we're short of one! Anyone wanna play?! HAHA!

There she stood, looking so fine.
Her hair undone, her eyes lit bright.
And as she stared, I can't help but feel,
that she's the one. Love her I will.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

That's how we met, coincidence or not,
two wondering hearts, upon that fateful court.
I knew not that she was from my school,
when I was around her, I behaved like a lovestruck fool.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

So we became friends, studying for A's together.
And it wasn't that long before, we promised to be friends forever.
But the friendship did not last, for it grew into love.
As I stared into her eyes, I promised that my heart would be hers.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

I remember once, when I had lost my wallet,
my heart full of worries, my words came out a stutter.
Then she appeared, two popsicles in her hand,
grinning like an idiot, to make me smile was her plan.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

A month then passed by, and then it was two.
And before we knew it, our sixteenth was due.
I had a break from NS, so I went to meet her,
but we ended up arguing, as we had been for the past year.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

Another week passed, and again she walked beside me.
But this time no words were said, we both knew that it had to be.
We talked about how our relationship had soured, and that it was time to let go.
We both agreed at that point, that our love had lost its glow.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

How agonising it was, as I gently removed her ring.
Each centimetre a painful one, I didn't want to think.
And yet it had to be done, eventually it came off.
I placed the ring into her hand, as ever, it felt soft.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

Hence we went our seperate ways, at least we broke when the going was good.
For there would be much more pain to bear, if on different sides we stood.
As we slowly walked to the station, we talked more about out time together.
About what was good and what went wrong, through fair and stormy weathers.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

As the escalator brought us up, to the platform where we would part,
I couldn't help but look at her, and oh how it pained my heart.
I kissed her once then, then thrice more later,
while we were seating on the benches, waiting for the inevitable.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

Alas our time together had come to an end,
without any more chances to make amends.
And so we said our parting words,
I then walked away, and not towards.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

The train doors closed, and started to move.
In my chest I felt a loss, nothing could ever soothe.
Oh how I wish it hadn't come to this, that this love could have lasted.
But what's done had to be done, to dwell on it would make it no better.

Oh how beautiful she looks, my heart's in pure bliss.
Upon our rings we promised, Amore Fidelis.

As the distance grew, our eyes still intact,
looking at her, I remember how it was the first time we met.
It was like this, staring at a distance,
that we first met, our hearts beating faster at that instant.

Oh how beautiful she looked, my heart in agonizing pain.
Amore Fidelis was what we promised, and yet I was proven wrong again.

There she stood, looking so fine.
Her hair undone, her eyes lit bright.
And as she stared, I can't help but feel,
that she's the one. Love her I will.

How much more pain do I have to bear?
How much longer will this sadness last?
I've always been passive, letting things pass..
But now, I shall be a bystander no more.

My mind tells me one thing,
But my heart says another.
I end up not knowing just what to do,
My mind AND heart will both have to suffer.

Those close to me tell me to do what is right,
Yet, what is right to them isn't right to me.
I can't do what they suggest.
Or is it, that I simply don't want it to happen?

I admit that I was wrong in the past,
But I've been trying to make amends.
Alas, is it too late?
Or will you give me one more chance?

My mind is in a mess now,
I know not what to do.
But this I am definitely sure of..
That is, I love you.
